Mid-term related information
- The midterm is on Oct 20 same location and time as the regular class.
- The exam will be closed book and notes.
- A calculator is required, however no computer laptop is allowed.
- You will be expected to *know* simple fundamental equations: e.g. entropy, mutual information, simple statistical distributions (exponential/poisson), as well as basic linear algebra, e.g. vector and matrix multiplication.
- Material covered will be from lectures (Weeks 1 - 6) as well as reading from the assigned Active Networks and Nano-Networks chapters (Chapters 1 and 4).
- Software project and final project proposals are due by the day of the midterm.
Final Project Report Submission
The final project report should be submitted in latex using the following templates:
- Unix Latex Style
- Windows Latex Style
- Windows Bibtex
- Unix Bibtex
Clickers: In this course, we will use i>Clickers clickers in the lectures for quizzes. Along with scribe
notes, they will be worth 10% of your course grade. It is your responsibility to attend lecture,
bring your clicker, have fresh or spare batteries for your clicker, etc. To register your clicker, go to
www.iclicker.com/registration. For the Student ID field, give it the first part of your UAlbany
Webmail userid (for instance, if your Ualbany webmail was ab123456@albany.edu, you would type
in ab123456). Please do not enter your actual UAlbany ID number.
