| The interior of the Pagoda is airy, even though it is jammed with visitors, ascending the wooden ladders from red painted level to level. The kids dart across the multi-story drops without concern, but soon find the steep steps to the summit drains them of their energy. Us oldsters did better then I would have expected, steadily climbing from level to level. Three levels below the top, a doorway appears exiting out into the temple and bazaar at the top of the cliff. Walking through the temple, with all it statues of gods and generals, leads to a back stair and walkway, leading down on narrow paths, via lovely gardens and vistas, to the dock and our ship. |
