Material Properites, Shading, with intro to Animation with Interpolation
Instructions:
- Start Blender on my Shading.Demo saved Blender session..
Click here if your browser will
automatically start Blender on a file with extension .blend.
This works in the U. Albany LC-3 and 4 User Room Windows PCs.
Otherwise, download the file, start Blender and open the file using the (File)/(Open ..) operation.
- Put the cursor in the lower left window, and press right-arrow and left-arrow repeatedly. The left window is currently an Interpolation or Ipo window. It holds interpolated curves for some transformation parameters. The transformations apply to the selected object. The interpolation was generated from Key Frames.
- You can examine the effect of shading and lighting settings by observing the image as the object is rotated.
- The object has is the active object in object mode. Therefore, the lighting and materials panels apply to it.
Try out combinations of settings while following guidance from
the shading and lighting chapters of HB and the RedBook Chapters
4 and 5.
- The 3D View only gives a partial rendering. To see the complete, accurate rendering of the displayed frame, press the
render button on the right panels window.
- Don't worry about messing up the file..You can always reload it from the Web.
