“Matrix” is a server cluster installed at rit.albany.edu. This cluster consists of one head node and eight compute nodes. Each node has two quad-core Intel Xeon 5300 processors and 16GB RAM.

PlanetLab is a global research network. Since the beginning of 2003, more than 1,000 researchers have used PlanetLab to develop new technologies for distributed storage, network mapping, peer-to-peer systems, distributed hash tables, and query processing.


As of January 2009, PlanetLab consists of 941 nodes at 467 sites.

This kit provides a comprehensive platform for the evaluation and development of wireless sensor network applications.  This kit includes components needed for multi-hop wireless sensor mesh networks.
