You are required to choose a recent article related to Security and Privacy. The article can potentially be from the following sources:
ACM Digital Libary
IEEE Digital Libary
ACM Tech News (http://technews.acm.org/)
Security and privacy conferences
Once you have chosen the article, send it to me (by email) latest by October 6, 11:59 p.m. and get it approved.
Once approved, you must study the article and write a 2-3 pages term paper covering the following points:
Section 0 (Your name, student id, etc.)
Section 1 (Introduction and Motivation): What is the main contribution in the article? What is the problem the authors claim to address? What is the motivation behind addressing this problem? (0.5 page approx.)
Section 2 (Proposed Work): What solution the authors have proposed to solve this problem? How authors have established their claims -- what experiments they have performed and what are their results? (1-1.5 page approx.)
Section 3 (Discussion and Future Work): Do you see any weakness or shortcoming in the proposed solution that can be addressed in future? If yes, please elaborate. If no, why? (0.5 page approx.)
Section 4 (References): List the references you came across in this study.
You are also required to prepare a power point presentation (of xx-xx slides) addressing the above aspects.
Submit the term paper and ppt by October 21, 2014 11:59 p.m. via email.
You will present the slides in class on October 22 and October 23 (if needed). The presentation schedule will be based on the ascending order of last names.
Evaluation Criteria (The term paper weighs 10% of the whole course):
Term paper report: 8 marks (Section 1: 2 marks, Section 2: 4 marks, Section 3: 1.5 marks, Section 4: 0.5 mark)
