Prof. Petko Bogdanov Prof. Petko Bogdanov

Petko Bogdanov is an Associate Professor in the computer science department of University at Albany–SUNY. His research interests include data mining and management with a focus on graph data and applications to bioinformatics, neuroscience, data-driven nanomaterials and sociology.

PhD Students

Elham Sadeghi Elham Sadeghi

Elham’s search is on machine learning for nanomaterial design. Specifically her work focuses on generative models trained by experimental data and employed to optimize multiple material properties. She obtained her M.Sc. of Information Technology from the Islamic Azad University, Safashar Branch, Iran in 2017 and BSc of Information Technology from Payame Noor University, Safashahr Branch, Iran in 2013.

Maxwell J. McNeil Maxwell J. McNeil

Maxwell McNeil is a PhD student at the University at Albany-SUNY. His research interests include developing novel algorithms for mining data on networks where nodes have associated temporal patterns. He has a particular focus on employing interpretable dictionary bases.

Boya Ma Boya Ma

Boya is insterested in data mining and machine learning in time series and graphs. His current project is on graph inference for time series data. He received an MS from Syracuse University in 2015, majoring in Computer Science.
