The IEEE International Conference on Advanced Video and Signal-based Surveillance (AVSS) is the leading conference for the underlying theory, methods, systems, and applications of video and signal based surveillance. The AVSS 2019 Organizing Committee invites proposals for Tutorials during the conference to be held in Taipei, Taiwan from September 18 - 21, 2019 (http://www.avss2019.org/). The tutorials can either take the forms of full-day or half-day (morning or afternoon). The list of topics of interest includes, but is not limited to:

Prospective tutorial organisers are invited to submit their tutorial proposals by email to the Tutorial Chair (c-t.li@warwick.ac.uk). The proposal should include a 3-page description of the tutorial and an 1-page biography for each of the tutorial speakers if there are multiple speakers to be involved in the same tutorial. Please highlight their qualifications and track record in the proposed subject areas of the tutorials. The 3-page proposal should include the following information:

  1. Format of the tutorial: full-day or half-day.
  2. Tutorial title and abstract: The title and the abstract should allow attendees to understand the subject areas of the tutorial.
  3. Motivation and Focus: Explain your topic’s importance to the AVSS community and what you expect the attendees to learn from your tutorial. Please also provide a syllabus, outlining the content of the tutorial and the learning outcomes.
  4. List of speakers: In the case where there are multiple speakers, please provide a list of the speakers and their affiliations. Please also describe the parts of the tutorial that they will contribute.
